Vihar lake:Hidden spot of Mumbai

On 21st july we decided to pay a visit to 500 year old ST John baptist church in Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone(SEEPZ) in andheri east,Till 4pm we all gathered near my building and headed towards church with me,Anurag on aviator and Atul,Aakash and dhiraj on splender bike.
After getting there,we were confused where the church is! We asked panwala, rickshawala and conductor, they too were blank after hearing church name.
Finally we saw the church, though it was surrounded by big walls and Gate.We checked the gate and it was locked however we saw some office people inside, now we were in a search of a main entrance gate after getting there we found out that it was a 'restricted area'.Entrance was heavily guarded with 5-6 cops around. They told us  the properties around the church was acquired by the SEEPZ industrial park, and access to the church ruins is now severely restricted until and unless you work at MIDC or seepz.Only time it is accessible is 2nd week of may on sunday.
Instead of wasting time we decided to go somewhere,Atul told us there is a lake somewhere in aarey colony near royal palm. One can take aarey colony road from andheri east,We asked people for royal palm direction, actually way to lake is from small hut village through Gali, its like 15-20 minutes walk from forest to lake. After parking aviator and bike near gali,we started our walk, what we saw now was a hidden nature spot with palm trees around.

Way to vihar lake

Finally we arrived at the spot, vihar lake was on the right side.I saw some villager women washing clothes at the shore of the lake and saw some boys swimming.Glimpse was refreshing,it was a hidden spot in the middle of the city.
There was liqour bottle shattered all over the ground,I mean i understand people drinking at bar and lounge but drinking near nature blessed spot and polluting it,this is the reason many beautiful looking spot get destructed, extincted and restricted.
Swimmers should not swim too far from the coast as there are records of crocodile found in vihar lake though it's the biggest lake in the city, one should not risk his life.

It was getting little dark so we decided to head back, while heading back we took the wrong route and ended up on narrow road which was covered by forest on both the sides,we took some pics there and went back to the forest.

Narrow road

It get's really difficult to trace the route during late evening time because it was all dark.I would say one should head back before it turns dark, however during day time it's very easy to follow the right trail and more than that creature's stay hidden during day time.
Now we were confused with the route! we met 2 bikers on the way who were heading to that narrow road they told us ''beware of the forest, don't go too deep because tiger roams around here during night time. After listening to his warning, anurag and atul were little disturbed and scared.
Later we found out,'that those two bikers men were drunk and we thought they were playing with us,so we ignored them and went further.
By luckily we saw two villagers women with dog heading back to village where our bike was parked,we followed them.On the way i saw some fire flies. In the mean time aakash was roaring like tiger which was making anurag and atul scared still they were pretending like it was nothing.Anurag and atul were talking to us continuously, that's what human's do when they get scared,so it keeps them distracted from anything which is making them scared.
Finally we were at the village where our bike was parked,we were home till 9pm.This small easy trip did not even cost us single bucks.

Caution - Next day while searching on internet i found out leopard do roam around forest during night time, they do come near vihar lake to drink water during night time.I would strictly avoid anyone to do camping in the forest, atleast when it turns out dark.
