MANORI BEACH
On sunday 1st march 2015 it was raining mildy all over mumbai.It was blessing for all the traveller's and trekker's so no way i was gonna sit at home sleeping,watching T.V,Playing games or whatever.
I called aakash through cellphone at 7am and he was near my building with rickshaw by 8am,without wasting time we headed to Madh jetty,it costed us 3 RS per person on ferry then we took bus from madh to marve beach which costed us 18 Rs per person.We were at marve beach in 30 minutes.
After getting down it took us 5 minute walk from bus stop to marve jetty,one can view global vipassana pagoda from marve beach.
We took ferry from marve jetty,it costed us 10 RS per person.After getting down at the Manori island we took bus to manori beach,It costed us i think like 5 RS per person.One can also reach manori beach Via Bhayander.
We went through Gali to manori beach,i saw colourful Bungalows and resort on both the sides.
Temperature was cool and it was little dark all over the beach just like they showed in 'The woman in Black'(Horror movie),perfect for picture snapping.Good thing about this beach was that it was not crowded like all other beaches in Mumbai.
Its been like 6-7 months that i felt this kind of breeze.While taking a walk on the beach i noticed there were barely any vendors out here on the beach.I saw group of kids playing football,some sweepers cleaning the beach.
Mild rain started but it was vanished within a minute.
Then we decided to roll towards right side and keep walking until and unless we find a dead end of manori beach.On our way we saw lots of cross statue.
Now we were at the highest point of manori beach ,this point was perfect for 360 degree view.We were able to see global vipassana pagoda from here.What surprised me the most was that there were no sign of human's out here,'only peace,breeze and little rain drop.
This highest point was perfect for camping at least for this specific day.We eat Oreo biscuit then decided to head towards home.I wanted to go Uttan beach but it was not possible to snap picture's because my cellphone battery was drained to 10%.
We walked for 15-20 minutes from manori beach to get to jetty point then we took ferry to marve beach then waited for BEST at bus stop.All of a sudden one rickshawala stopped in front of us and was ready to take us to Madh jetty for 35 RS per person but after little compromise he agreed to 25 RS per person which we thought was quite a good compromise keeping in mind BEST ticket is 18 RS per person then we took ferry from madh jetty then Rickshaw from yari road to our home.I was home(Azad Nagar) till 3pm
UTTAN BEACH
On 6th may me and aakash at 7:30 am rolled towards madh jetty for uttan beach and velankanni church.
One got to follow the same means of transport as mentioned above to get to Uttan beach.Uttan beach is the last stop,its
like 13-14 km from manori beach.
After getting down we headed towards Uttan beach,turn out to be this was a fishermen land,there was a fish smell in the air.We went little left on the beach,which i thought was little worth for snapping pic's
Heat was on our head unlike manori journey where it was little cold and rainy.So we headed towards velankanni church while passing through gali we asked one of the villager aunty for direction,she told us to follow her till road come's then she told us either to take rickshaw or take a walk from here.We took rickshaw who charged us 10 RS per person.In 7-8 minute's we were at the velankanni church.
The church look is like a mansion from outside,we rested in church for 15 minutes.It helped us to keep away from boiling heat outside.
After getting outside of the church,we went right side of church that's where clean Uttan beach is,Whoever want to view clean Uttan beach without fish smell! should come near this church and not that fishermen Uttan beach.
Then we rested near beach for 15-20 minutes reminiscing about past.Water here was clean compared to other beaches in Mumbai even rocks terrain out here were little muddy in color different from all other beaches in Mumbai.
It was 12:10 pm,heat was all around the place.Now without wasting time we took rickshaw to uttan bus stop which costed us 15 RS per person. Luckily BEST was standing there about to leave ,'heading towards Jetty in manori island,we took a bus and made our self comfortable on the seat.Further we used the same means of transport as we used in our manori beach journey.I was home till 2:30 pm.
