Mahakali caves is like 6km from my house so me,aakash,anurag and vishesh planned to pay a visit to this cave on sunday morning.
On 29th June 2014,sunday at 9:30am we all gathered near andheri MC donald and headed towards andheri station(East) to catch the BEST bus plying to Mahakali caves.We hopped in the bus and got comfortable on our seat.Mahakali is the last stop,from there bus take a U-turn.Its like a minute walk from the stop to the 'caves',we were at the caves till 10:30am.
The Mahakali Caves (also known as the Kondivite Caves) are a group of 19 rock-cut monuments built between 1st century BCE and 6th century.Caves are carved out of a solid black basalt rock.
Back in the day,the caves were infamous for activities like drinking, smoking and doping but after the Central Government took cognisance of this issue, the scenario has become better.
We went inside the caves,making some gothic voices as it was echoing and we also did some horrific stuff.The atmosphere inside the caves was different from other caves i visited.
We decided to headback,we boarded BEST to andheri station and then metro to Azad nagar stop.I was home till 4am.

We were hungry now,so we went outside searching for restaurants,finally we got our eye on one of the decent looking restaurant,it was like 10minute walk from the caves.
We ordered 2paneer chilli,bisleri water,8Tandoori roti and 4 chapati,it costed us around 400Rs then we headed back to the caves.
